What is poetry?

Poetry is a form of writing using rhyming, lines, expression, emotions and it tells a story.

Who is likely to agree or disagree with you?

Other people who write poetry may agree or disagree that poetry does not always have to rhyme. Other poets have diferent opinions of what poetry is and what it means to them.

Does poetry have to rhyme?

Poetry does not always have to rhyme. But poetry can rhyme if the artist chooses to have a poem that rhymes.

Does poetry have to make sense? Can it be random words on a page? Explain.

Poetry does not always have to make sense. Poetry is a form of art and art is expressed in different ways. It may seem like random words on a page to other people but, it may have a significant meaning for the poet.

What type of feelings does or can poetry evoke (cause)?

Poetry can cause all different types of feelings. Feelings of love, feelings of loss, feelings of sadness or happiness. Poetry can evoke any emotion that the artist is trying to convey.
